We’re proud to announce our new two-year partnership with the International Winter Swimming Association (IWSA). Together, we’ll be conquering the cold with the global winter swim community.
Founded in 2006, IWSA is the pioneering organisation at the forеfront of promoting and establishing winter swimming on an international scale. The organisation unites winter swimming enthusiasts and athletes from around the world in competitions and events that encourage and celebrate winter water, courage, and camaraderie.
As the leading provider of outdoor change robes, we’re delighted to be the IWSA's Official Change Robe. Our partnership will also sponsor all 2025 and 2026 events, including the 2025 IWSA Winter Swimming World Cup and the 2026 IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships.
2026 is a big year for the sport as the ISWA celebrates its 20th anniversary. The flagship biannual event, the 2026 IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships, will return to IWSA’s place of origin in Oulu, Finland.
We can’t wait to join more than 1,500 winter swimmers from around the world to honour competitive ice swimming and the winter water community.
The partnership cements our support for the winter swimming community and follows the success of our title sponsorship at the 2024 IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships, which took place in Tallinn, Estonia, last March.
“We’re very excited to extend our relationship with the IWSA, who like us are passionate about promoting winter swimming and having a positive impact on its global community,” commented Gideon Bright, founder and CEO of dryrobe®. “Our sponsorship of last year’s IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships was a huge success, and we’re looking forward to working with the IWSA over the following two years on an expanded brief that will now account for all 2025 and 2026 IWSA organised events, including the 2026 Winter Swimming World Championships.”
Mariia Yrjö-Koskinen, president of IWSA said about the partnership: “The IWSA is very happy about the partnership with Dryrobe®. In August when our last event took place at the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate, Argentina, every swimmer was wearing a Dryrobe® Advance and it really helped them to manage and enjoy the extreme conditions. Our partnership, which includes the 2026 Winter Swimming World Championships in Oulu, is also very valuable as we will celebrate our 20th anniversary in the same city we were founded. It is very special that we will return to our original roots together with Dryrobe®.”
