Overconsumption is placing a huge amount of pressure on our planet’s resources, and we want to encourage our customers not to buy more than they need. That’s why, since Dryrobe® was founded, every product we’ve produced has been built to last for years and years.
Community projects
Giving back to our community has always been important to us. We founded the Dryrobe® Warmth Project to support charities and non-profits that share our values of protecting the environment and promoting wellbeing through outdoor activity.
Bloom Algae
BLOOM™ has innovatively transformed algae destined for landfill or incineration into useful materials for products. This helps to lower reliance on virgin materials, reduce carbon intensity, and restore aquatic habitats by clearing away algae. The cushioned soles of Dryrobe® Thermal Boots are made with 20% algae-based Bloom Rise™ and 80% EVA rubber.
Responsible packaging
The majority of the packaging is made out of FSC-certified and recycled cardboard. This ensures that the material for our packaging is responsibly sourced. In 2024, we switched to FSC-certified paper mailing bags for smaller items to reduce the usage of cardboard. We are working hard to remove the small number of 100% recycled polyester bags from some sales channels.
We’re proud to say that back in 2015, we were the first business in the UK to follow the lead set by REI in the US and Opt Outside on Black Friday. Since then, organisations across the globe have followed suit, helping to make Black Friday less about consumerism and more about the appreciation of the world around us.
